Situation: The Southeast Produce Council (SEPC) is responsible for the largest annual produce tradeshow in the southeast and was in need of a digital solution, particularly a dedicated event website with a built-in registration process for members and potential attendees.
Task: Develop a website dedicated to Southern Exposure that would live outside of the global website, seproducecouncil.com, and can be reconfigured year over year for the annual event with minimal effort. The most important requirements were a seamless user experience and mobile optimization. Additionally, it was essential to integrate registration for attendees, exhibitors and sponsors, and provide easy access to event information while recognizing sponsors.
Action: After several productive strategy sessions, Idea Garden Marketing developed a microsite dedicated to Southern Exposure. The new website was built outside of the main SEPC website, giving the event it’s own look and feel while connecting to the overarching brand. All the requirements were achieved (some even exceeded) and the final product was launched ahead of time and on budget. Idea Garden Marketing was also hired to handle all tradeshow event registration needs for over 2,500 attendees and multiple weekend events.
Result: Long time attendees provided countless positive compliments to SEPC leadership on the new website and registration experience. Southern Exposure sold out faster than any year prior and had a record attendance throughout the tradeshow. After reviewing analytics, it was clear the website was accessed during the event which showed attendees were finding the information they needed on their mobile device.Launch website
